Looking for decor to deck those halls? Is it your personal goal to have people fawn over your house every time they step through the door? I have rounded up some of my favorite places to look for decorations. I have included stores that will fit every budget! Keep in mind some are having some great sales right now as well.
(Just a note before moving forward, I am American, so all of these will be American stores. I’m sure most of them will ship though. That said, if there are good decoration stores in other countries, please share them below!)
Target
Target is just a beautiful store. You can get your decorations, your Christmas gifts, and your Christmas snacks all in one place. But the nice thing is, Target has a range of prices. So you can shop their dollar section, find decorations for $3, or find some other pricier options that still won’t break your holiday budget.
Homegoods/T.J. Maxx
Homegoods is one of the stores that has my credit card in a chokehold. T.J. Maxx is owned by the same company, so they have similar stuff in there as well, but Homegoods is all about the home, and I find it easier to find things in. The seasonal display is typically front and center so you won’t need to hunt for the perfect find, it’ll find you!
Christmas Tree Shop
I am not sure how widespread this store is, but it is literally for Christmas. It has stuff all year round, but it was made for Christmas. They also have a good range of prices for finding decorations. And you can find anything from traditional decor to Christmas flamingos. I might have a few Christmas flamingos.
Dollar store
This is the place to go for quick blog props or picture props or small decorations. Or any foliage you may need for DIY decorations. Dollar Tree tends to be my favorite dollar store. It’s clean and has things that don’t snap apart when you look at it.
Amazon
Amazon just has everything and everything and the shipping is usually so quick. I hate to be a supporter, but it's convenient. They have outlet deals too and can find some great things if you know how to search.
Kohl’s or Boscov’s
There is something about department stores that just screams Christmas. And they have good quality products. They fall in the middle-class of price ranges, but the products you are going to get will last a while. Kohl’s also has a chokehold on my credit card. I had to delete the app off my phone and block the website. The deals were so good and the products so cute. And if it’s not at Kohl’s, Boscov’s has it. I highly recommend these stores for good-quality, low-cost table settings.
A.C. Moore/Michaels/Hobby Lobby (craft stores)
The nice thing about these craft stores is you can DIY or you can buy an already made product. Or a little of both. You can’t go wrong with either. I like making Christmas crafts, but sometimes my projects come out a little wonky. I tend to like A.C. Moore over Michael’s (don’t ask why I just do). But that brings us to our next point...
Etsy or DIY
If you want an original Christmas/holiday then buying from an artist or making it yourself is the best option. Anyone can buy a wreath, but one handmade will make you feel happy and more willing to show off your house. And original artwork by an artist is also something to show off too as most people will have not seen it on advertisements or in-stores already.
There are LOADS of stores you can get decorations from, these are just a few of my favorites. If you have a favorite store, please share! Also, tag me or tweet me @rerenascence in your decoration photos! I want to see everyone’s displays no matter where the decorations came from!
